#vogtforjill
The only rainy day in August. One of my favourite August days. When your parents’ backyard looks this good, it’s practically asking to be your new wedding venue after you have cancel your 150+ guest wedding plans (because of everyone’s least favourite C word that rained upon 2020).
Jill sent me the nicest message after she patiently had to wait a couple days for Tom to get home from work. This is what it’s all about and I’m so over the moon happy to document these moments – because in 50 years, I want you to see your photos and be brought back with a feeling, not just how it looked. In 50 years, those photos will actually be more valuable than they are today. I think that’s kinda cool (:
“I’m so glad we waited and watched the slideshow together because WOW! We were both crying like babies! That was the absolute best and most special day to us and you brought us right back to those moments. We can’t tell you how grateful we are for both you and Pierre. I am so excited to look back on these photos in the next 5 min, 5 years or 50 years down the road. I don’t know how I’m going to choose which ones to print for my walls!! We are honestly so happy with how they turned out and just can’t thank you enough!! You’re the best!” – Jill & Tom

Love love the headpiece from Davie & Chiyo 😍
Bridesmaids first look are a thing now and I LOVE IT!!!
We got the champagne and we’re ready for a nice little walk to the orchards!
Kelle creates the most beautiful floral pieces and is the absolute sweetest human I have ever met. If you’re getting married in Kelowna or the Okanagan, Floral Therapy is who you want to message!
Does this remind anyone else of the iconic Friends photo of everyone walking down the street?
Twas a windy day in Summerland.
I asked the girls to touch foreheads while they walked (it looks cute). Tom overheard and thought it was hilarious so the boys had to do their own version.
The view from Giants Head in Summerland (:
The flower parents hard at work.
I kid you not, the rain lifted for exactly the 15 minutes of ceremony.
I think one of my favourite things is when the guy says he’s not a crier then proceeds to bawl with every line of his vows. Oh love 🥰😆
On cue, the rain arrives!
Jill’s sister surprised Jill & Tom and invited their friends and family to line the streets after their ceremony while we walked to Heaven’s Gate for a snack + wine.
It was absolutely pouring, but the smiles were so so big.
Rainbow 1 of 2 on this day.
Dinner on the deck!

Jill and Tom, you both are incredible humans. Thank you for trusting us to document your wedding day! You made us feel so at home and welcomed into this day, and to us, that is a huge honour! Congratulations, we’re so happy for you and can’t wait to see where you go together ♡
High fives to this amazing group of vendors who contributed to this wonderful day. It’s seriously a pleasure to work with such great people.
