The first thing I want to say is that Cole Prodan & Annelies Wentzel named their cat Pretzel, which is the combination of their last names, and I think that’s just beautiful.

Second thing I’ll say is this simple and beautiful and joy-filled wedding day took place in Annelies’ parents’ backyard. This is the place she grew up and where she always dreamed about getting married at, and I think that’s just beautiful too! Cole and Annelies live in California now, and what a treat it was for them to come home and celebrate with their families.

Cole & Annelies were wed down on the dock on the great okanagan lake (by the lovely officiant, Darlene who retired immediately after declaring them husband and wife, as this was her 1000th wedding!!). A brief summary: hands were held, tears shed, veils forgotten, siblings signed as witnesses, confetti was thrown, swinging on the wedding gift swing, inside jokes were shared, smiles that are so big your cheeks hurt happened (mine included), amazing food was devoured. Overall, not a bad day.

Annelies and Cole, jeeeeez you make me smile!!! Thank you for asking me to document this day, and thank you for being so wonderful to be around, and big shoutout to both of you, but also your moms who are the coolest ladies around and made me feel so welcomed and comfortable 💛

The moment we all realized that Annelies forgot to put her veil on for the ceremony, oops haha.

So we retrieved the veil and made some re-creations!
